Gown preservation is an art and for over 46 years we have been the artist! It’s been our enjoyment to see our heir loomed piece return in the arms of a new generation to enjoy.
Our service starts way before the big event, we provide inspection, cleaning, tailoring, and pressing services as well as the cleaning restoration and heir looming after the event.
We provide you with instructions and expertise to ensure your treasure lasts for future generations to enjoy.
From our many years of experience, allow time for professional cleaning and alteration services, we suggest a solid 2 months to be on the safe side to get the proper fit and look for your bridal party attire. If you are wearing an older gown many fabrics will yellow with age so make sure the color damage can be cleaned and restored to a new brighter appearance. If you do choose a new gown, you should still leave time for alterations and pressing.
If you are traveling to our area for the ceremony, you can ship the dress directly to us, we will have it ready for the event.

You spent a great deal of time, money, and thought selecting your wedding gown. Your wedding gown is a treasured keepsake that if properly cleaned and preserved, can last a lifetime. Cleaning and preserving your bridal gown as soon as possible ensures that your gown remains in the best condition possible. After a wedding, many bridal gowns are left in the plastic garment bag with good intentions of cleaning and preservation sometime in the near future. This procrastination poses some serious risks to the gown.
We suggest only two methods to safely preserve your keep sake, both are excellent storage solutions.
Bridal Chest:
- Gown has been thoroughly cleaned and prepped
- The gown’s bodice is shaped and packaged with an acid free cardboard bust for display
- The bodice and skirt are layered with acid free tissue paper
- Your gown is then carefully placed in an acid free windowed bridal chest and packed to keep out insects and humidity
- The display box is placed inside a second storage box and then both of these boxes are placed in a protective bag, to protect from moisture
Hanging storage:
- Gown has been thoroughly cleaned and prepped
- Placed on a satin heavy duty tissue padded designer hanger
- The gown’s bodice and shoulders are shaped and packaged with an acid free cardboard bust to allow the weight to be distributed equally
- Your gown is then placed in a luxurious soft, breathable, cloth-like bag with a 20” gusseted bottom to allow room for the train.
Regardless of your preservation choice, we are here to heirloom your treasure for the next generation.
